Results and discussion chapter 5
Introduction chapter
The introductory and first chapter of the dissertation is mainly known as the Introduction chapter. The problem statement and its proposed solution are primarily discussed in a proper and standardized manner. Rather than that, the introduction chapter quickly clarifies the study’s primary purpose and the research question is also stated in this chapter. The main proceeding starts in a standardized manner, and a clear definition of the basic terms related to the project is clearly described in this chapter. In this introduction, the reason behind the problem statement is also justified in a particular way. It explains the main primary and principal terms of the study to improve and develop the specific project. Primary and clear understanding and explanation of the project is appropriately illustrated in this chapter before undergoing the whole dissertation process to the concerned topic. This introductory chapter summarizes the conflicting findings, unresolved problems, and issues, educational, social, international and national issues for leading to the next section of the dissertation. It is mainly said that the problem is in the gap between skills and knowledge. This study’s background is highly focused upon the situation from where the hole is found in the recent and current topic of empirical research of literature. Arising from the introduction chapter’s background activity and statement, present motive and introductory information of the subject are found. A gap in skills and knowledge of the talent in the entire project and study is primarily stated in an exact and specific way of concern. In this introduction chapter, the background, problem statement, and purpose and significance of the required project’s current research are contained in a significant way of concern. It can be said that the introductory paragraph has the better accomplishment of the study.
Literature review chapter
The literature review is considered a survey in a comprehensive manner of scholarly type research based upon a particular topic—the components of the Literature review comprised some basic steps. Formulation of a problem is the first stage. In this stage, the researcher will have to look for authentic materials relevant to the chosen topic. For this purpose, the researcher has to determine the issue. Then the stage of searching literature comes. In this stage, one has to use various sources like different books, different kinds of journals, articles, several published and unpublished dissertations, which have to be utilized. The next stage will be the evaluation of the gathered data. This stage provides a considerable contribution to the chosen topic. Each chapter of the dissertation must be linked to each other. There must be an authentic and transparent reference in each chapter. When discussing the research findings, the researcher has to relate what he has found previously for explaining the importance of this. The main segment of the literature review is the discussion and the analysis part of the literature. In this respect, an introduction part has to be added. This introduction part will be outlined the broader context of the literature review, the scope of this review and the aims and reasons for reviewing this literature. The literature review’s main discussion will be focused on the analyzing and evaluation of the topic theme, its different types of issues, putting up the suggestion, next is the conclusion, then opinions from various authors. The conclusion part has to be mentioned how the literature review part has fulfilled the introduction outline. Some suggestions for further study of the literature will have to be added. Finally, the rationale has to be provided.
Methodology chapter
The methodology part of the dissertation has to establish a crystal clear relationship between the research questions, the process of surveying, and how a researcher will come to an end. To that, firstly, a recap of the research questions has to be done. This will bridge the methodology and the literature review. Next, a perfect description of the research design has to be executed. This part is the central part of the research methodology. In this segment, a clear explanation of the process for accumulating and then analyzing the data or approaching the research questions has to be done. This must-do in a straightforward way so that any scholar can make an easy understanding of the methodology. In the case of adding a new theoretical approach, it must be done so that the future reader must understand this theory and be able to make an application of that theory. On the other, if a researcher is doing a scientific experiment, he should do it so that it becomes easily approachable to the future reader. This is also applicable to the newly applying statistical model. The prospective reader makes it apply to their own set of data after reading the methodology’s whole section. Next, according to the choice of designing the background and a rationale, it has to be made. This section describes the reason for choosing this topic and why it is believed that the issue will yield better results with a set of analysis and conclusions. Part of the literature review will be taken for this purpose. This section needs profound creativity and the power of innovation. The rationale part must be related to the problems of research.
Results and discussion chapter
The results and discussion chapters are regarded as the most valuable and exciting chapter. The result section must set out the experiment’s significant results, which also includes any statistical analysis. The information about statistical analysis should get included the details of limits or p values or confidence intervals. The result part has to be written in the past tense. These results, in part, must contain tables, graphs, and figures for illustrating the points. Each model, map, and table must have a title as well as a number. The statistics and the number of tables should be done in an order according to the mentioned text. The figures and text might be complementary, but the same information should not be repeated. Every model, graph, a table in the result part must be referred to in the text. A concise discussion of the result section needs to be done for evaluating the reliability and the resulting quality.
This section of discussion is set to fulfil four primary purposes. The first one is the interpretation and explanation of the results—the second part gives answers to the particular questions of research. In the third part of it, a discussion has to make a justification for the approach. And in the last part of the debate, a critical evaluation of this study has to be done correctly. As a whole, this section of discussion requires the reviewing of the findings that are related to the literature and the knowledge related to the topic. A proper demonstration is made, which will clearly show the limitations of this research and the implications of the findings for practice and policy. This part of this section will be done in the present tense.
Summary and conclusion
The summary and the conclusion chapter have been made to fulfil and provide an overview of the entire dissertation. Writing an abstract is related to the summary, except that the abstract part makes a roughly equal weight on all the dissertation chapters. Whereas the conclusion section makes focuses on the findings of the research that has been taken from the results section. Firstly, all the information written in this section must have been mentioned before in the dissertation. Any new data should not be cited or introduced. This rule is called the rigid rule for technical writing. Secondly, any tables or graphs or pie charts or figures must not be included in this section. This particular rule is known as the rule of thumb. The conclusion chapter should be around 3 to 4 pages long spaced in case of any masters dissertations. This part of the dissertation aims at various perspectives, like briefly making a reintroduction of the topic compared to the amount of the introduction. Reiteration of particular objectives and the purpose of these dissertations is another thing to keep in mind. This results and conclusion section also helps recap the taken approach in a similar way as in the introduction. In this, the researcher has to outline the methodology, all the data, and the results. Summarization of the significant findings can be mentioned here with proper recommendations of this work.
Further, to make future research recommendations have to mention. This conclusion part must not show too much negativity or over modesty about the researcher’s achievements. So, the critical point in making a conclusion part of the dissertation must be emphasized on the researcher’s contribution in doing this dissertation. Overall, a proper balance has to be maintained in a brief, transparent and authentic way.
